"This Is Home" Original Artwork by Sandra Gale

This Is Home is about the people who feel like home.

It features two bright pink parrots sitting together, framed by a dreamy blue-green mosaic-style background. They’re not real birds, of course. They’re Sandra-brain birds, which means they’re made from colour, feeling, and a logic that may or may not hold up scientifically.

There’s something so lovely in the way they sit together. They feel close, familiar and deeply connected, like two little beings who know exactly where they belong.

Story & inspiration

I adore the relationship between these two birds.

They feel like family to me, but not necessarily in the traditional sense. More like the people you love deeply, the people you return to, the ones who understand your weird little quirks and love you anyway.

I wanted the background to feel dreamy and deep, like you could almost dive into it. Then the pink and orange birds bring that pop of warmth, like little sparks of personality sitting in the middle of it all.

It’s a small piece, but it holds a lot of feeling. A colourful reminder that home isn’t always a place. Sometimes it’s a person, or a relationship, or a moment of being understood.

Returns & Damage Policy
I don’t accept returns on original artworks for change of mind, but I’m happy to create a free digital mock-up of how the piece could look in your space before you buy. Just email me a photo of your wall.

If your artwork arrives damaged in transit, please contact me straight away and I’ll make it right. Every artwork is fully insured during shipping so you can purchase with confidence. To process a claim, I’ll need:

• Photos of the damaged packaging before opening

• Photos of the artwork inside the packaging, with the damage visible

This helps me lodge a quick claim with the courier so we can resolve it smoothly.
